The Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is only the
second sponsor in the country holding an amateur golf tournament where it
would be possible for every player to win a million dollars. The only
other tournament even close to this kind of prize list is held in New York
State.
The Tenth Annual Art Weedin Memorial Golf Tournament will
be held on Friday, October 6th.
In past events until last year, only one player could
qualify to shoot for a million dollar Hole-In-One and again this year, all of the players will have a shot at a million
dollars during regular play on the 17th hole. The four-player scramble has
numerous “Big Buck” items in addition to the Hole-In-One’s on the course.
After play, everyone will be moving to Arrowhead Yacht Club
for the evening Banquet. Besides the awards presented to winners, there
will be a silent and not so silent auction.
Remember, space is limited and will go on a first-come,

amateur tournament and you don’t especially have to be a “Tiger” to
play.
